Dear Yuletide Author
Dear Yuletide Author,
First of all, thank you so much for participating and signing up to write in one of the fandoms that I requested. I honestly love them all and there needs to be more fic for all of them.
Second, allow me to apologize for the complete and utter lack of details in my requests. I finally decided to do Yuletide at the last minute and I wasn't entirely certain what to do there. Hopefully, this will make up for that lack.
Arthurian Mythology - I have always, always loved the Arthurian legends, something probably started by Disney's The Sword in the Stone. Arthur and Galahad have always been favorites, but Lancelot is right up there. Mordred is more recent because of the way friends have written him in the past. I think the general pairings are pretty obvious (Arthur/Lancelot, Mordred/Galahad), but I also don't mind incest pairings, particularly Lancelot/Galahad. I suppose it doesn't feel much like incest since in traditional Arthurian legend, Lancelot didn't know about Galahad until he came to court. I'm also not fussy about the actual rating, though I'm great with the higher end. Dub-con is okay, but I really prefer not going to full non-con. I do love Alternate Universe or, since it's Arthurian Legend, reincarnation is totally go. Especially if that makes it easier for you.
The Dresden Files - Hopefully, I'm not spoiling anything for you with the request, but I would love to see more of Harry and Thomas being family. Harder since the events of Turn Coat, so set before then would be great if it's easier for you. I totally admit that Thomas is my favorite character ever, so I would love ANY fic with him. Something about his reactions to the end of Changes would be great, too, since that was one of my disappointments with "Aftermath". Mouse or Bob the Skull-centric fic would be cool, too, since I love them as characters as well. Or if they show up as secondary characters. I actually love pretty much all the secondary characters in the Dresden Files, so anybody you want to throw in would be loved.
Captain Britain and MI-13 - This is a recent love. I decided to pick it up because of the appearance of Pete Wisdom, who has been a favorite for a long time. I didn't expect to fall in love with Faiza as well, or the interactions that she had with Dane. Missing scene from canon would be cool, maybe some of Faiza's swordwork training or Pete dealing with some other British heroes that fall under MI-13's jurisdiction. Or post-canon, which wouldn't necessarily be much different, honestly. Again, here, I'm not that fussed about the ratings, so long as everybody is in character.
The Authority - Another fairly recent love and finding fic for the canon is like pulling teeth. While I do love Apollo and Midnighter, as the requests note, my very favorite character is Angie/The Engineer. And while I like the relationship with Hawksmoor, I always preferred her interactions with Jenny Sparks. And we know that Angie's open to a little bit of experimentation. If you'd prefer friendship fic with them, though, I'm entirely happy with that as well! Or, friendship fic with Apollo and Angie, because they ARE good friends and I can imagine Angie being there as a shoulder through Revolutions.
That said? I will be happy with pretty much anything you write. I'm generally open-minded and the only things I would like you to avoid are non-con, character death (unless it's dealing with one that actually happens in canon), and any physical injuries that happen to the hands and eyes. Not a big fan of alternate universe except with Arthurian myth, but it's not a hard and fast stop there.
